Who is Rick?

Rick is a true product of 1986. It is believed that he came into this world with a fair amount of hair, a feature that more or less became his trademark. Like many, he has a passion for all the beauty in life. Movies, reading books and his career are among the things that keep him occupied. Alone or with friends he travels to far away places to broaden his perspective on the world.

Since 2008 Rick has been studying filmmaking at the Dutch Film Academy. Film and Rick go way back. From the moment he could get a job in a local cinema he was inseparable to the silver screen. Soon, the nerd in Rick understood that with computers reality could be distorted. Today he is studying as a VFX artist at the Dutch Film and Television Academy.

In 2006 Rick founded The Joker Comedy Club. A non-profit bi-weekly stand-up comedy venue, now well known by national comedians. As a chairman Rick has been a driving force to push the club to a professional level, and after more than 70 shows The Joker is now among the highest quality comedy clubs of the country.

This blog is one of Rick’s ambitions. Writing down his experiences is a hobby he likes to share with fellow travelers. Not only because writing brings him back into the moment, but also because Rick himself does a lot of research prior to a trip, and personal experiences always help him to decide what to see during one of his trips. This is by no means a professional attempt in writing, but simply flexing his brain to put memories to paper.

    Dear Rick,

First of all my compliments for your blog!

Through this message I would like to ask if you would be interested in a guest article from my side.

I really like blogging. I could write a nice article about some of my own travels or an article with some additional tips for other travelers. When I do, maybe I could mention some advantages of Parcare, a starting business in the parking industry nearby airports. In this way, you have additional, unique content and we are able to improve our online findability. Maybe you have an idea yourself of a guest blog?

I like to hear what you think!

    Kind regards,

    Stefan Koning

Hi Stefan, thanks for your kind words and your interest in my blog. Unfortunately I don’t think this is the right place for guest blog as it a highly personal blog with a fairly low frequency of posts. Not really a place for advertising.

But again, thanks for your interest, and the best of luck.

      Cheers,
      Rick
